Figure Ledger binds every value to an approved source origin, an exact metric, unit and reporting period. Validators refetch the evidence, preserve SHA-256 receipts and verify pinpoint quotes before deterministic policy code can authorize a real consequence.

The two registered demo authorities and their files are operator-controlled fixtures. The interface says so plainly; they prove the trust boundary rather than claiming outside independence.
